Emprint and its employees are dedicated to serving our local community in a variety of ways. Emprint’s team members volunteer and serve a wide range of local organizations.
Emprint’s Chief Operating Officer, Rebecca Vance, served as Chairman of the Board of Junior Achievement of Greater Baton Rouge for the 2008-10 term and received the Award of Exemplary Leadership for her service from Junior Achievement Worldwide. Emprint employees continue to support this organization through the events such as the Bowlathon and the Louisiana Legacy Golf Tournament.
Curtis Vann has served on the Board of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Baton Rouge. He also served as the AAF District 7 Governor in 2009-10 term and was selected in 2014 to receive the E. A. Pete Goldsby award, which is presented each year to the person who has made the greatest overall contribution to the advertising profession. Becky Sadler served as President of AAF-BR in 2015-16, and Carol Shirley served as President in 2007-08. In 2010, Steve Jenkins was the Pinnacle Award winner as the Printing Sales Account Executive of the year.
Along with Glen Duncan, Curtis Vann redesigned the state’s flag and seal as part of an effort to designate “official” symbols for the State of Louisiana. Curtis presented several designs to the Secretary of State’s Office that were approved as “official” state flag and seal designs. After receiving approval, Curtis and Emprint printed books representing the history of the Louisiana State Flag for all of the Louisiana Public School libraries.
